Student Opportunities

AdvanceXing Pain and Rehabilitation Clinic has a standing relationship with several local colleges and universities.  AdvanceXing also has regular opportunities for aspiring Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and Medical Assistants.

Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner Clinical Rotations

Arcadia University has partnered with AdvanceXing Pain and Rehabilitation Clinic for many years.  AdvanceXing is an approved and recommended practice for Arcadia Physician’s Assistant Clinic Rotations.  Find out more about Arcadia by clicking the Learn More link below.

AdvanceXing is open to accepting Physicians Assistants and Nurse Practitioners from other institutions though space is limited.  Dr. Xing devotes a lot of time to training and educating the clinical rotation student and her policy is to only have one student at a time to ensure that she can devote the needed time and attention to training the student and educating them so that they have a solid background in the field.  Some of our clinical students want to enter the field of Pain Management full time. Other students desire to have a solid understanding of the field because they intend to work in an allied field where having a solid understanding of Interventional Pain Management is a significant plus.

In addition, we are open to qualified students who have an interest in learning more about the Interventional Pain Management field.

Medical Assistant Externships

AdvanceXing Pain and Rehabilitation Clinic offers Medical Assistant Externships.  Our two most popular feeder schools have historically been Dawn Training Center and The Harris School.  AdvanceXing is open to Medical Assistant students from other institutions though once again space is limited.  Our office normally only trains one Medical Assistant at a time to ensure that the student receives adequate attention, guidance, and training.  

If you are interested in performing a clinical rotation or externship at AdvanceXing, you should work with your institution and in addition, you have the option of contacting us.  Please initiate contact by uploading your cover letter/resume. Preferred file formats: docx, pdf, rtf, and txt.
